U-Haul International, Inc. is seeking a Hitch Service Technician to work in our Moving and Storage Center lot, applying hands-on skills to understand and install tow packages and to provide outstanding customer service.

Requirements include a valid driver’s license, basic wiring and hand/power tool experience, and a High School Diploma or equivalent. The role offers advancement opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package.

Hitch Service Technician Primary Responsibilities:

• Understand and explain U-Haul’s variety of towing packages
• Recommend and install the right tow package on customer vehicles
• Provide exceptional customer service and support to U-Haul customers.

Requirements:

The work involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions, e.g., working around moving parts, machines, fumes, or irritating chemicals. May be required to use protective clothing, or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves, or shields.

Physical Demands:

The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods both indoors and outdoors of remaining stationery, traversing spaces, repositioning to reach and use tools, and moving a minimum of 50 lbs. assisted or unassisted.

Since 1945, U-Haul has been serving do-it-yourself movers and their households. Like many other successful ventures, the concept for U-Haul was generated out of need.
