Job summary

U-Haul is seeking a Hitch Service Technician to join our Glendale, Arizona location. You will explain towing packages to customers, install the appropriate tow system, and deliver exceptional service while upholding safety standards.

Applicants must have a valid driver's license with a clean record, basic wiring and tool experience, and a high school diploma or equivalent. U-Haul University offers ongoing training and opportunities for advancement.

Responsibilities

• Understand and explain U-Haul's variety of towing packages.

• Participate in ongoing continuous U-Haul education through U-Haul University.

Hitch Service Technician Primary Responsibilities:

Requirements:

• Valid driver's license and the ability to maintain a good driving record
• Basic wiring and hand/power tool experience
• High School Diploma or equivalent

Work Environment:

The work involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions, e.g., working around moving parts, machines, fumes, or irritating chemicals. May be required to use protective clothing, or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves, or shields.

Physical Demands:

The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods both indoors and outdoors of remaining stationary, traversing spaces, repositioning to reach and use tools, and moving a minimum of 50 lbs. assisted or unassisted.
