Job summary

Mount Sinai Medical Center of Florida, Inc. is seeking a Histotechnologist to perform routine histology, staining, and quality control in a high-volume pathology setting in Miami. The role requires Florida licensure (or eligibility) and 0–2 years hospital histology experience.

You will handle embedding, microtomy, and special stains, while maintaining safety and inventory. Responsibilities include documenting QC, adhering to departmental SOPs, and supporting co-workers across shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Licensed by the State of Florida (or eligible) in appropriate specialties; national certification preferred.
• Experience: 0–2 years as hospital histotechnologist.

Responsibilities

• Proficient in routine histology: cassetting, embedding, microtomy and H&E staining.
• Performs and documents Quality Control; reports deviations to supervisor.
• Maintains equipment; ensures turnaround times and OHSA/departmental safety protocols.
