Job summary

Nevada Donor Network, Inc. is seeking a Histotechnologist to participate in all aspects of histology operations, including patient test management, test performance and evaluation, results reporting, quality control, and quality assurance under supervision.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in science, one year of relevant experience, and Nevada Histotechnologist license with HTL (ASCP) certification. CAD/ CAP compliance and on-call rotation are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science or related field.
• 1 year full-time of relevant experience.
• Nevada Histotechnologist License required; HTL (ASCP) certification required.
• Meets CAP educational/experience requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and cuts histological sections of good quality for analyses.
• Performs routine and complex analysis of patient specimens according to SOPs.
• Evaluates specimen acceptability upon receipts and during result review.
• Documents corrective actions taken.
• Performs secondary review of patient results when required.
• Assists with gross examination and maintains specimen logs.
• Operates and maintains lab equipment and prepares reagents.
• On-call rotation as needed.
