Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, FL is seeking a Histotechnologist to prepare tissue specimens and perform complex histology procedures. You will ensure quality diagnoses by maintaining instruments and following safety regulations, with strong collaboration across the health-care team.

Requirements include 2+ years in histology, an Associate degree (Bachelor’s preferred), and excellent communication and computer skills. This full-time role is onsite at AdventHealth’s Orlando campus.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience as a histotechnologist or in a histology laboratory setting.
  • Associate degree in a chemical, biological, clinical or medical laboratory science, or medical technology; bachelor’s preferred.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and regulatory requirements in a laboratory setting.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare tissue specimens to confirm patient diagnoses.
  • Perform complex histology procedures and analyze data; maintain/repair instruments.
  • Maintain safety standards and comply with government regulations in laboratory practices.
  • Assist in continuous laboratory service improvement to support timely, high-quality diagnoses.
