Associate's in Histology preferred; ASCP Histotechnician certification required within 6 months of hire. Proficiency with data entry, quality controls and safety regulations is expected.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Histology preferred.
• ASCP Histotechnician certification required within 6 months of hire.
• Experience with embedding, sectioning and staining for microscope review.

Responsibilities

• Prepare tissue specimens for routine and special procedures for diagnosis.
• Process, embed, cut and stain surgical, biopsy and anatomical tissues for microscopic review.
• Perform instrument maintenance and maintain quality control records; follow safety regulations.
