Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Histotechnician to join our team at St. Thomas Midtown Hospital in Nashville, TN. The role supports processing tissue specimens, slide preparation, and histology testing on third shift to ensure timely, accurate results for patient care.

Qualifications include an Associate’s degree in Chemical or Biological science and 1+ year of Histotechnician experience. ASCP certification is preferred; hospital lab experience is a plus. A sign-on bonus is offered externally.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology.
• 1+ years of experience as a Histotechnician.
• Familiarity with standard histology procedures and equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process human tissue and body fluid specimens for microscopic examination.
• Prepare and produce histopathology slides using a microtome and proper mounting techniques.
• Perform immunohistochemical tests on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue sections.
• Conduct routine and special staining procedures and report results for patient care.
