Missionary Christian School is seeking a dedicated Middle/High School History Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year in Tampa, FL. The ideal candidate will combine strong history knowledge with a passion for Christian education and a biblical worldview.

You will plan and deliver engaging lessons, maintain a positive classroom, and communicate clearly with families while supporting students spiritually and academically.

Qualifications

• Clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and lifestyle reflecting Christian values.
• Active involvement in a Bible-believing local church.
• Bachelor’s degree in History, Education, Social Studies, or related field.
• Strong classroom management and ability to build positive relationships with students.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Commitment to Christian education and Missionary Christian School’s mission.
• Ability to integrate faith and learning with wisdom and biblical conviction.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver effective, engaging, and age-appropriate history lessons.
• Teach content from a biblical worldview, linking history to Christian truth.
• Prepare lesson plans, activities, projects, assessments, and materials.
• Maintain a structured, respectful classroom environment supporting learning.
• Differentiate instruction for diverse learners.
• Assess progress and provide feedback to students and parents.
• Maintain grade records, attendance, and documentation.
• Communicate professionally with parents, administration, and staff.
• Participate in faculty meetings, chapel services, and school events.
• Model Christian character and servant leadership.
