Job summary

Felix Commonwealth Virtual School in Massachusetts is seeking innovative Guides (Teachers) to support a personalized, mastery-based learning environment. You will mentor a cohort of about 17 students, provide subject-area instruction, tutoring, and lead students toward demonstrated mastery.

The role requires a Massachusetts teaching license with SEI endorsement and 3+ years of classroom experience, with preference for those experienced in technology-enabled learning and competency-based

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree; Master’s preferred.
• Massachusetts teaching license with SEI endorsement is required.
• 3+ years of classroom experience; reciprocity considered.
• Experience with technology-enabled learning and competency-based education.
• Experience with entrepreneurial or school start-up initiatives is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Advise and mentor a cohort of ~17 students; develop individualized learning plans and monitor progress.
• Provide direct instruction, tutoring, and subject-area support within certification area.
• Support mastery-based learning and personalized teaching strategies.
• Foster a positive learning community in virtual and in-person settings; support social-emotional development.
• Collaborate professionally to improve instructional practices and school initiatives.
