Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in History from a regionally accredited institution.
• Master’s degree or higher in any field with at least 18 graduate semester hours in History.
• Prior teaching experience in higher education (preferred).
• Experience with learning management systems (e.g., IvyLearn/Canvas) (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Deliver assigned courses in accordance with College policies, course objectives, and approved curricula.
• Utilize instructional technology to enhance teaching effectiveness and student learning.
• Develop and maintain ADA-compliant syllabi, lesson plans, assignments, assessments, and instructional materials.
• Maintain accurate and timely student records, including grades and attendance, in accordance with College requirements.
• Engage students in meaningful and productive ways that support learning and contribute to a positive student experience.
• Demonstrate the use of active learning strategies that promote student engagement and success.
• Interact with students, faculty, and staff in a professional and cooperative manner.
• Comply with College policies, campus guidelines, and expectations.
• Demonstrate knowledge of and implement emergency and safety procedures in all learning environments, including classrooms and labs.
