Job description

Position Accountabilities and Essential Functions

in student, faculty and staff. Are you interested in positively impacting students’ lives? We are seeking collaborative, energetic, and innovative History Adjunct Instructor(s) who are committed to student retention and success. Instructors are responsible for establishing and promoting an effective learning environment to maximize student learning.

Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree in History from an accredited institution of higher education


• Demonstrated currency in the field of History


• Demonstrated ongoing professional growth

Additional Experiences Considered

• Experience teaching Western Civilization survey courses (early and later) and / or Michigan history courses.


• College teaching experience in face-to-face and online environments.


• Community college teaching experience.


• Experience teaching diverse student populations.


• Experience with teaching courses for dual enrollment initiatives.
