Missouri Mines State Historic Site is seeking a dedicated team member to support daily facility operations, tours, and educational programs at a historic site in Park Hills, MO. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays, including overnight trainings and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree as required; experience in interpretation, preservation, or site management may substitute for education.
• Ability to manage diverse activities for state parks or historic sites.
• Experience in coordinating interpretive programs and educational activities.
• Strong writing and reporting skills for preliminary reports and exhibits.
• Ability to work varying shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Demonstrated leadership and teamwork in a public-facing role.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain historic site facilities and grounds.
• Provide tours and present interpretive programs for diverse audiences.
• Assist with research, exhibits, collections management and interpretive materials.
• Ensure safety and cleanliness of public spaces; perform basic maintenance tasks.
• Coordinate with public and staff; attend trainings including overnight stays.
• Support resource stewardship and wildfire/safety-related work as needed.
• Communicate effectively with the public, stakeholders and supervisors.
• Adhere to park rules, procedures and policies; participate in required trainings.
