National Park Service at Saugus Iron Works National Historic Site seeks a Maintenance Mechanic to perform skilled building and utility repairs, install and fix plumbing and roofing systems, and maintain facilities. The role requires heavy physical work and may involve travel and variable hours.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. Citizen or National; background check required.
• Selective Service registration for males born after 12-31-1959.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to wear a uniform.
• Pass E-Verify and meet physical/eligibility requirements.
• Ability to travel overnight up to 2 nights per month.

Responsibilities

• Construct, alter, repair facilities, including storage areas and offices.
• Install and repair plumbing, roofs, and masonry following trade practices.
• Operate maintenance vehicles and move heavy items safely.
