Caris Life Sciences in Phoenix, AZ, is seeking a Histology Technologist I to assist pathology professionals with IHC, specimen processing, embedding, slide preparation, microtomy, and other high‑complexity tasks in our state‑of‑the‑art laboratory.
Under supervision, you will follow SOPs, document in LIS, maintain equipment, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver accurate, timely results. This role requires relevant education and hands-on histology/IHC experience.

The Histology Technologist I will utilize the knowledge necessary to assist pathology professionals with Immunohistochemistry (IHC), specimen processing, embedding, slide preparation, microtomy, and other high‑complexity procedures performed in the laboratory. This position works under direct supervision and follows standard procedures and written instructions to accomplish assigned tasks.
Will work at a computer some of the time as well as need to keep inventory and ordering records requiring the use of copiers, fax machines, and PDF scanners. Visual acuity and analytical skill to distinguish fine detail and ability to pass a visual color discrimination test. Manual dexterity to use common laboratory equipment and perform sterile techniques as required. Must possess ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time. Must possess ability to perform repetitive motion. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. May have exposure to high noise levels in the data center, fumes and bio‑hazardous material in the lab environment. Exposure to formaldehyde, xylene, DAB, and alcohol which emit fumes. The formaldehyde, xylene, and DAB are carcinogenic. May be required to handle blood‑borne pathogens and general laboratory reagents. Must possess ability to use a microscope for extended periods of time. May have exposure to extreme temperatures, high noise levels, fumes, and biohazardous material/chemicals including formalin in the lab environment.

This position requires periodic travel and some evenings, weekends and/or Holidays.
