Job summary

The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine (HJF) seeks a Histology Technician II to process, embed, stain, and document high-quality histologic preparations supporting prostate cancer and genitourinary research at CPDR/MCCRP in Bethesda, MD.

The role requires U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a T3/Secret Security Clearance; work may occur on-site with occasional clinic-site engagement at WRNMMC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline and 3–5 years of histology experience.
• Knowledge of tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, staining and slide preparation.
• U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain a T3/Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and advanced histological procedures and documentation.
• Process prostate tissue samples and manage laboratory records with data integrity.
• Train personnel and support regulatory compliance in a clinical research setting.
