Job summary

Pride Health is seeking a Histotechnician to support a medical facility in Oklahoma City, OK. This contract position offers a potential transition to full-time and pays $45-55 per hour on W2. Shifts run overnight, with hours from 11:00 pm to 7:30 am, plus a second early-morning window.

The role focuses on routine and specialized histology work in a demanding lab environment. The successful candidate will have an Associate degree or higher in Histology (or relevant experience), ASCP HT

Qualifications

  • Attention to detail and precision in tissue processing.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced lab.
  • Ability to follow SOPs and document data accurately.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and non-routine histology procedures for tissue specimen preparation.
  • Process tissue specimens, including embedding, microtomy, and H&E staining.
  • Prepare and coverslip slides using manual or automated methods.
  • Assist with special stains and Immunohistochemistry as assigned by Histology Manager/Supervisor.
  • Complete accessioning and reporting documentation accurately.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of laboratory equipment.
  • Maintain compliance with CLIA, CAP, and all applicable regulations.
  • Keep the laboratory clean, organized, and operating efficiently.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
