Job summary

Aya Healthcare has an immediate opening for a Histology Tech in Columbus, GA. The assignment is 12 weeks with a 5-day, 8-hour schedule (06:00–14:30) in a Days shift. Epic is used for charting, and ASCP-HT certification is preferred.

Salary is paid weekly from $1,811 to $2,018, with 1 opening available and start date 10/12/2026. Facility is an Acute Care Hospital with Level 2 trauma and 336 beds.

Qualifications

• Experience with histology processing and microtomy.
• Familiarity with staining techniques (H&E, special stains).
• Ability to prepare slides and sections for review.

Responsibilities

• Prepare tissue sections using microtome and cryostat.
• Process and embed tissues for histology.
• Stain sections and mount for microscopic evaluation.
