Job summary

The role supports diagnosis and treatment through careful preparation, staining, and documentation of slides and blocks.

Responsibilities include tissue processing, cryostat sectioning, specimen accessioning, and adherence to SOPs, with emphasis on accuracy and timely results in a CAP-accredited lab

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Associate Degree in Science preferred.
• Experience requirements: none specified.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine paraffin sections of tissue for microscopic examination.
• Perform frozen cryostat sectioning and specimen processing.
• Prepare specimens and reagents and maintain slide/block records.
• Check and accession specimens, ensure proper preparation protocols.
• Provide quality control and operate hospital information systems.
