Job summary

Qualifications

• Training to Foundation or BSc degree level.
• Ability to handle body fluids and materials.

Responsibilities

• Participate in routine Cellular Pathology rotations as directed by senior staff.
• Follow SOPs at all times.
• Assist in specimen reception, labeling and preparation.
• Troubleshoot simple laboratory problems with support from senior staff.
• Adhere to Data Protection, Information Governance and Safety policies.
• Maintain safe handling and disposal of specimens and chemicals.
• Support training and audits as required.
• Report risks and incidents promptly using DATIX where appropriate.
