Sheehan Family Companies is hiring a Fleet Mechanic for the 2nd shift from 2pm to 10pm at Union Beer Distributors in Secaucus, NJ. This position includes repairing trucks and other machinery, performing inspections, and maintaining certifications.

What you’ll be doing:

• Repair trucks, cars, and other company machinery as required
• Provide for the general maintenance requirements of the plant as necessary
• Inspect all vehicles to ensure that the vehicles meet state safety requirements
• Perform preventative maintenance on vehicles to minimize vehicle down time
• Maintain mechanical certifications as required

EQUIPMENT USED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Electric and hydraulic tools
• Truck and/or automobile

What you will need to succeed:

• High School diploma or GED
• Class A License or willing to obtain
• Prepare written repair orders daily

CRITICAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Two handed lifting, handling, carrying 40 lbs. from floor to overhead on a frequent basis
• Two handed lifting, handling, carrying 100 lbs. from floor to 48" on an occasional basis
• Sustained squatting, kneeling, stooping and bending
