Job summary

Our Client, a leading metal components producer in the automotive sector, seeks a Stamping Manager for a permanent role in Indiana. You’ll lead production teams, drive efficiency, and ensure safety while meeting schedules and quality standards.

You will optimize stamping operations, manage staffing and resources, and collaborate with procurement and maintenance to achieve targets. This role emphasizes continuous improvement and SOP implementation.

Qualifications

• Minimum experience of 5 to 7 years in production management in the automotive industry.
• Knowledge of concepts and procedures in the use of multi-ton presses.
• Strong verbal, written, analytical and persuasive skills.
• Ability to interact effectively with all levels of management and employees.

Responsibilities

• Reduce scrap and shorten changeover times.
• Decrease downtime and increase strokes per hour.
• Increase productivity and efficiencies.
• Follow and attain the production schedule.
• Determine staffing to meet the schedule needs.
• Manage resources to meet production targets.
• Decide on equipment use, maintenance and modifications.
• Create and implement SOPs for production operations and ensure adherence.
• Ensure health and safety procedures are followed.
• Monitor product quality standards and implement improvements.
• Analyze production and quality control to detect and correct problems.
• Drive continuous improvement actions across the line.
• Coordinate collaboration between procurement, maintenance and management.
• Prepare weekly 5S audits and audits of the department.
• Track stamping performance and document benchmarking data.
• Conduct monthly Work Cell communication meetings.
• Perform monthly Safety Audits.

Title: Stamping Manager

Type: Permanent

• Work with team and support groups to decrease scrap from the process and decrease changeover times.
• Work with support groups to decrease downtime and increase strokes per hour.
• Increase productivity and efficiencies
• Follow and attain the production schedule.
• Determine the staffing required to meet the needs of the desired schedule.
• Manage human and material resources to meet production targets.
• Make decisions about equipment use, maintenance and modification.
• Create and implement standard operating procedures for production operations. Ensure standard operating procedures are followed.
• Ensure implementation and adherence to health and safety procedures.
• Monitor quality standards of products.
• Analyze production and quality control to detect and correct problems.
• Determine and implement improvements to the production process.
• Monitor and review the performance of staff and organize necessary interventions for improvement.
• Ensure efficient collaboration and coordination between relevant departments, including procurement, maintenance, and management.
• Prepare weekly LPA and 5S audits.
• Track daily stamping performance and document benchmarking data to drive continuous improvement actions.
• Perform monthly Work Cell communication meetings.
• Perform monthly Safety Audits of the Department.
