Modem Test Engineer
Location: MTV, CA Work from office 5 days a week.
Duration: Contract
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related field.
8+ years of hands‑on testing experience in 5G/4G/3G Cellular modem chipset or device (UE) Protocol conformance, performance, and interoperability.
Strong understanding of 3GPP and Carrier specifications for LTE and NR.
Execute test plans targeting 5G NR and LTE L2/L3 protocol features (RLC, PDCP, MAC, RRC, NAS).
Expertise in 3GPP/IMS Protocol call flows to analyze logs and troubleshoot issues in UE/network protocol interactions.
Ability to isolate complex issues across multiple protocol layers and identify root causes using trace analysis tools.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to lead and drive testing activities.
Hands‑on experience with test equipment for GCF, PTCRB, Carrier certification (e.g., Keysight, Rohde & Schwarz).
Non‑Terrestrial Networks (NTN) testing experience is highly desirable.
