Job summary

Gallaher Co. is seeking a seasoned Drywall Installer to join our 1 Hour Drain division, responding to emergency drywall installation, repair, and finishing after water, fire, or mold events.

With at least 2 years of drywall experience, you will assess damage, install panels, and ensure code-compliant finishes while coordinating with project managers and field techs. English is required; bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Emergency after-hours and weekend response availability (rotation one week per month).
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Drywall Installer or Finisher.
• English is required; bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and multi-task.
• Knowledge of drywall installation, repair, and finishing techniques.
• Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations related to drywall work.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to emergency calls for drywall installation, repair, and finishing following water, fire, mold, or other disaster events.
• Assess the extent of drywall damage and determine the appropriate repair strategy.
• Remove and dispose of damaged drywall materials safely and efficiently.
• Install new drywall panels according to building codes and industry standards.
• Apply joint compound, tape seams, and sand surfaces to achieve a smooth and level finish.
• Collaborate with project managers and field techs.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Uphold the company's high standards for safety and customer service.

Drywall Installer Responsibilities

Requirements for Drywall Installer

• Must be available for emergency response work after-hours and on weekends (1 week & weekend per month rotation).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Drywall Installer or Finisher.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred - English is a must!
• Ability to communicate and provide excellent customer service.
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Strong multi-tasking skills
• Strong understanding of drywall installation, repair, and finishing techniques.
• Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations related to drywall work.
• Comfortable utilizing software & applications to access docs, reports, & timekeeping system
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
