Qualifications

  • Two years of professional office experience preferred.
  • Experience in medical records or healthcare setting preferred.
  • Proficient in EHR systems and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and manage patient medical records in compliance with standards.
  • Scan, import, and organize documents within the EHR.
  • Prepare charts and gather records before patient appointments.
  • Process requests for health records per HIPAA and policies.
  • Ensure patient confidentiality and privacy.
  • Assist patients with accessing records via the Patient Engagement Portal.
  • Support staff by retrieving, scanning, indexing, and filing health information.
  • Collaborate with HIM Specialists to ensure consistency and timely information flow.
  • Respond to internal/external requests with timely communication.
  • Participate in departmental quality improvement and training activities.
