Overview

Brentwood Behavioral Healthcare is a 120‑bed capacity behavioral health facility located in Flowood, MS. The facility provides psychiatric services and specializes in treatment for adults, children, and adolescents. It offers both inpatient and outpatient psychiatric services and serves the surrounding counties of Hinds and Madison.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of medical records and release of information requests.
  • Process patient discharges within 48 hours.
  • Assign ICD‑9CM codes, abstract medical data, and analyze charts for completeness and compliance.
  • Enter data into automated systems and file essential medical documents.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and demonstrate professional boundaries while communicating effectively with staff.
Qualifications
  • Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalent; 1–2 years of experience in a psychiatric or community‑based inpatient, residential, or group home setting.
  • Preferred: Associate’s degree in Health Information Management or a related field, HIM certification eligibility, and relevant experience.
