Job summary

TotalMed Allied seeks a travel Ultrasound Technologist for a travel assignment in Hilo, Hawaii. The US Tech will operate ultrasound equipment, ensure accurate images, and assist physicians with interpretation. Must have 1 year of experience, BLS, ARDMS and state licensure as required.

Assignments are 13 weeks long, 40 hours per week, with rotating 8-hour shifts. Comprehensive travel benefits and hourly pay are provided, with a tax-free stipend to be determined.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience required.
• BLS certification required.
• ARDMS national certification required; state licensure when required.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and families about procedures performed.
• Use sonographic equipment to identify and observe areas of concern.
• Prepare exam room for examinations and assist Radiologists with ultrasound procedures.
• Report abnormalities requiring immediate attention to medical staff.
• Maintain sonography equipment and report machinery failure.
• Conduct scan tests and write reports based on results.
• Maintain accurate patient records.
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system.
