Job summary

Hillside Resort in Wentworth Township is seeking a reliable Maintenance & Grounds Technician to maintain its resort facilities including the campground, restaurant, and gas station.

The ideal candidate will perform tasks such as lawn care, snow removal, and light repairs, ensuring a clean and safe property for guests. Experience in lawn care and general maintenance is preferred. This outdoor role requires handling physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Experience in lawn care and general maintenance preferred.
• Basic repair skills (ex. carpentry, plumbing, mechanical) is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and handle physically demanding tasks.

Responsibilities

• Lawn care: mowing, trimming, weed spraying, and weed removal
• Snow removal: plowing, shoveling, salting
• Maintain campground sites and outdoor areas
• Perform light repairs in cabins, campers, buildings, and facilities
• Assist with maintenance of restaurant kitchen and gas station equipment
• Complete basic building repairs and general upkeep
• Perform light vehicle and small equipment maintenance (ex. golf carts, trimmers, boats)
• Keep property clean, safe, and guest-ready

Qualifications

• Experience in lawn care and general maintenance preferred
• Basic repair skills (ex. carpentry, plumbing, mechanical) is a plus
• Ability to work independently and handle physically demanding tasks
• Reliable and hardworking
• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude
