Job summary

Crown Equipment Corporation in New Bremen, OH is seeking a Hardware-in-the-Loop Systems Engineer to design, develop, and maintain HIL environments for embedded software validation. The role requires building HIL architectures, developing Simulink models, and integrating CAN networks to support rigorous testing.

Ideal candidates will have a engineering degree, experience with MATLAB/Simulink and dSPACE tools, and the ability to travel for site work. Indefinite US work authorization is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Electrical, Vehicle Systems, or Computer Engineering (or Associate degree with 6+ years compensating experience).
• Good written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel occasionally, including overnight stays.
• Reliable transportation between company locations during work hours.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain HIL systems for embedded software validation.
• Develop Simulink models to interface with HIL hardware and CAN networks.
• Create HIL wiring schematics, I/O definitions, ECU communication protocol definitions, and supporting documentation.
• Develop automated test scripts and test cases to execute within HIL frameworks.
• Lead troubleshooting and resolution of HIL system issues.
• Ensure system performance meets company and industry standards and supports product requirements.
• Produce metrics, reports, and traceability documentation for management and compliance.
