Hiland Dairy in Conroe, TX is seeking a Route Relief Driver to support delivery and restocking of products to retail stores and wholesale locations. The position requires driving on established routes, covering multiple routes, and travel, with DOT regulations followed.

Responsibilities include safe loading/unloading, stocking products, setting up displays, verifying shipments, and maintaining logs. Applicants should have six months of verifiable CDL driving experience and the ability to pass

• Six months of verifiable experience driving Class A or Class B vehicles.
• Must have a Class A or B CDL.
• Must pass DOT physical, background, and drug screen.
• Past route sales experience and a good driving record preferred.
• Open to relocating or transferring as dictated by business needs.
• Must Pass clearinghouse.

Responsabilidades

• Drive truck over established route to deliver, stock, and stage products at customer locations.
• Set up merchandise and sales promotion displays and deliver promotional material to customers.
• Verify shipment accuracy and salable condition of the product.
• Resolve discrepancies and customer complaints.
• Collect empty containers, and rejected or unsold merchandise for a return.
• Complete daily inventory, orders, delivery invoices, and proof of delivery as required.
• Perform Motor Vehicle Inspections on trucks to conform to DOT regulations and company policy and assist with routine maintenance on trucks.
• Exhibit courteousness toward customers, work cooperatively with co-workers and supervisors, maintain a neat appearance and follow established policies and directions of management.
• Maintain vehicle and hours of service logs as required by DOT.
• Maintain reliable attendance and consistent work hours.

HIL - Route Relief Driver

Full Time Sales Conroe, TX, US

The Route Relief Drivers will be responsible for the delivery and restocking of products to retail stores and/or wholesale distribution locations. This position will cover various routes and will require travel. Driver must follow all Department of Transportation regulations.

Responsibilities:

Qualifications and Experience:

• Six months of verifiable experience driving Class A or Class B commercial vehicles preferred.
• Must have a Class A or B commercial driver’s license.
• Must be able to pass a D.O.T. Physical, background and Drug Screen
• Experience: Past route sales experience and a good driving record preferred
• Must Pass clearinghouse.
• Minimum Age: 21, as per Federal D.O.T. regulations
• Experience in product delivery and customer service preferred.
• Open to relocating or transferring to other locations as dictated by the operational requirements of the business.

Other Required Functions:

• Ability to read, write, perform basic mathematical calculations, and accurately record data required.

Physical Demand/Working Conditions:

• Must be able to frequently stand, walk, climb, bend, twist, push/pull reach at shoulder, above and below shoulder.
• The sales route relief driver will have to stack and unstack items weighing 50 to 60 pounds from a height of approximately six feet to the ground and back continually as well as drag stacks of milk weighing approximately 240 pounds, throughout the shift. Lift/Carry Lower 30-45 lbs 70%, 45-60 lbs 30 % continuous.
• Load and unload truck and carry merchandise.
• Required to work in very hot (100°+) and very cool (less than 32°) and humid environments throughout the year.
• Required to work outside most of the time, regardless of the conditions. Exposed to noise and vibration.
