Job summary

Asphalt Green is hiring group exercise instructors for part-time positions in New York. Instructors will lead Outdoor HIIT Camp classes focusing on a range of movements and conditioning techniques. Asphalt Green, Upper East Side is looking to hire energetic and outgoing group exercise instructors to lead Outdoor HIIT Camp classes.

We are specifically looking for instructors to lead weekday evening classes.

Responsibilities

• Have experience teaching in a group setting using bodyweight resistance, bands, jump ropes, and cones.
• Have experience integrating conditioning circuits and resistance training in a group class setting.
• Continually offer feedback to class participants and coach positively.
• Demonstrate all movements properly.
• Have a good movement toolbelt; spot movement flaws quickly and correct participants within 1–2 cues.
• Have experience (or be comfortable) being mic’d up.
• Understand that empathy for students brings success to the coach and to the class.
• Ability to lift and move class equipment up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to run, jump, bend, balance, walk, and perform upper and lower body weight‑bearing movements.

Qualifications

• Current fitness certification from a nationally recognized association (AAFA, ACE, NASM, CF‑L1).
• Valid CPR certification.
