MIDLAND FAMILY DENTAL CARE PA is seeking a qualified Registered Licensed Dental Hygienist in NJ to join our team. You will perform cleanings, screen patients, and assist dentists in exams and procedures in a high-tech, family-oriented office.

The ideal candidate is NJ-licensed as a Registered Dental Hygienist with 1–2 years of experience, friendly, and committed to delivering an exceptional dental experience.

Qualifications

• NJ state-licensed as a Registered Dental Hygienist.
• 1–2 years of dental hygiene experience.
• Strong understanding of HIPAA and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients into the treatment area and make them feel comfortable.
• Discuss the dental care plan with patients and answer questions.
• Prep sterilized equipment for dentist exams and procedures.
• Take vital signs and record medical histories.
• Perform preliminary exams and collect oral health histories.
• Evaluate patients for gum disease, cavities, and infection.
• Remove plaque and apply fluoride treatments.
• Teach good oral hygiene techniques.
• Create dental impressions and take x-rays.
• Assist dentist during procedures and exams.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and office policies.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree from a school certified by the Commission on Dental Accreditation, Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferred
• Current Dental Hygienist licensure
• At least 1-2 years of experience in dental hygiene
• Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and all dentistry safety guidelines
• Able to stand for extended periods and bend repeatedly
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
