Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson’s Richmond Highways Team is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to perform engineering design using general principles, interpret, organize, execute and coordinate assignments with limited supervision. Acts as a technical advisor to less experienced engineers.

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited program and 5–10 years’ experience required; working knowledge of OpenRoads 3D Modeling, MicroStation, and Microsoft Office; strong written and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• 5–10 years’ experience in a specialized civil engineering discipline.
• Professional Engineer license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, conduct or coordinate detailed phases of engineering work.
• Analyze survey data and drawings to plan projects.
• Design projects per client specs using OpenRoads 3D Modeling and MicroStation.
• Prepare contract plans, specifications and estimates.
• Coordinate with sub-consultants and internal teams to meet deadlines and quality standards.
