Job summary

LBJ TEXpress Lanes is seeking an Operations & Maintenance Trainee to assist in monitoring O&M costs, preparing plans, presentations, reports and cost comparisons for maintenance of our assets and challenging projects.

You will develop O&M cost models in Excel, gather data from RS-Means, design drawings, RFIs, RFQs, and reports, and support safety and project research. Night/weekend availability and local travel between LBJ and NTE projects are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Power BI.
• Experience with AutoCAD is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring O&M costs and preparing plans, presentations, reports, and cost comparison statements.
• Develop O&M cost models in Excel for financial modeling of highway projects.
• Contribute to road safety projects including RSA and Highway Safety manual analyses.
• Support project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations and analysis.
• Gain exposure to project, commercial, and client management.
• Assist with data collection for O&M benchmarking across concessions.
• Prepare documents for the Technical Department use.
