Job summary

Arizona Department of Transportation is seeking a Highway Operations Worker in Superior, AZ, with pathway through Tech series. Salary range is $37,838 to $50,848 annually, plus a $4,000 hiring incentive.

The role progresses through Tech 1–3 with increased responsibility, from entry level to supervisor-type duties, involving operation of vehicles, road maintenance, and environmental compliance. Applicants must obtain a CDL Class A within 90 days and a tanker endorsement within 6 months; FMCSA

Qualifications

• 6 months of Roadway/Highway related experience as determined by the assigned area’s needs.
• CDL Class A permit within 90 days from date of hire; CDL required within 6 months of hire.
• FMCSA Clearinghouse registration is required for all CDL holders.

Responsibilities

• Operate motorized vehicles and equipment for highway operations.
• Pavement care, preservation, and signing/striping.
• Schedule, assign, and oversee subordinate work (Tech 3 responsibilities).
