Responsibilities include highway maintenance, signs, guardrail, drainage, and compliance with regulations and company policies. Required experience includes roadwork, guardrail and sign installation, concrete forming/repair, and MOT traffic control certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record essential.
• Experience in highway maintenance, concrete work, guardrail and sign installation.
• MOT traffic control certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced maintenance operations on highways, signs, guardrails, and drainage.
• Work across day, mid and night shifts in Waco, TX.
• Adhere to federal, state, and local regulations and company policies.

Highway Maintenance Technician

Position summary:

Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is currently seeking full-time Highway Maintenance Technicians to perform advanced maintenance operations in Waco, Texas during the day shift,mid shift, and night shift. This positionrequires performing a variety of tasks related to highway maintenance,signs, guardrailand/or drainage and adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Jorgensen Company policies and procedures.

Required Experience:

• Exposure to using shovels, weed trimming machinery, brooms, & various small hand tools
• Air compressor operations familiarity
• Construction or Roadway maintenance experience
• Guardrail and Sign installation experience
• Concrete forming/repair experience
• MOT (Traffic control certifications/courses)
• Wheel Loader, Skidsteer, Fork Lift, Asphalt Roller, etc operator
• Minimum 2years of related experience
• Must have a valid Driver's License
• Clean driving record is essential
• Must pass criminal background check
• Bilingual: English/Spanish (read/write) preferred but not required
• CDL License a plus

Preferred Experience:

Roadway maintenance experience

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Maintain company standards for background checks (i.e. criminal record, driving record and controlled substance/drug testing)
• Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations
• Carry out simple arithmetic functions
• Maintain proper safety equipment required for each job
• Knowledge and ability to adapt to the latest technology
• Ability to use smart phone and applications
• Ability to adjust to changing work schedule
• Ability to work safely under ranging environmental and weather conditions
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
• Ability to operate hand/power tools

Schedule:

Full time; Day, Mid and Night shift available. Must be able to work weather events such as snow,ice, and floods.
