Job summary

DCS is seeking a skilled Highway Maintenance Technician to perform highway maintenance services under supervision. Candidates train in Highway/Roadway Routine Maintenance and join a family-oriented team.

Responsibilities include culvert work, mowing, patching pavements, storm cleanup, fence and sign repair, and equipment operation. Night shifts and physical requirements apply; reliable driving record needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Must be 18+ years of age and able to perform night work.
• Valid driver’s license with at least 3 years of clean driving.
• Able to work in adverse weather conditions and lift moderately heavy objects.
• Able to bend, climb, stand, stoop, or walk for long periods.
• Accurate eye-hand coordination.
• Ability to adapt to changing schedules.

Job Description

DeAngelo Contracting Services (DCS) is seeking a skilled Highway Maintenance Technician to conduct a variety of Highway Maintenance Services, as well as other related tasks under close supervision. We are seeking a qualified applicant that will train in Highway/Roadway Routine Maintenance.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

• Clean and clear culverts.
• Mowing, and clearing brush from roadsides.
• Patching broken or eroded pavements and shoulders.
• Assist in storm cleanup.
• Fence and sign repair.
• Litter/debris removal.
• Emergency response.
• Operate equipment used in Highway Maintenance.
• Use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, brooms, etc.
• Use power tools such as chainsaws, pole saws, weed eaters, backpack blowers, etc.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.

EXPERIENCE:

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• SOME NIGHT WORK REQUIRED
• Must possess a valid driver’s license with at least 3 years of clean driving.
• Ableto work in adverse weather conditions.
• Able to lift moderately heavy objects.
• Be able to bend, climb, stand, stoop, or walk for long periods of time.
• Accurate eye-hand coordination.
• Ability to adapt to changing situations with work plans and work schedules due to workload or season display.
