Job summary

DCS Asset Maintenance is seeking a skilled Highway Maintenance Technician to perform a variety of roadway maintenance tasks across the Bradenton area under supervision. Training will be provided in Highway/Roadway Routine Maintenance.

Major duties include cleaning culverts, mowing and clearing brush, patching broken pavements and shoulders, storm cleanup, fence and sign repair, litter removal, and operating equipment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license with at least 3 years of clean driving.
• Able to work in adverse weather conditions.
• Able to lift moderately heavy objects.
• Able to bend, climb, stand, stoop, or walk for long periods.
• Accurate eye-hand coordination.
• Adapt to changing workloads and schedules.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.

EXPERIENCE:

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license with at least 3 years of clean driving.
• Ableto work in adverse weather conditions.
• Able to lift moderately heavy objects.
• Be able to bend, climb, stand, stoop, or walk for long periods of time.
• Accurate eye-hand coordination.
• Ability to adapt to changing situations with work plans and work schedules due to workload or season display.
