Qualifications

• Proven track record in client relationships and engineering proposals.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage highway design projects and design teams to ensure successful project execution (quality, schedule, and budget).
• Serve as liaison between clients, design teams, subconsultants, agencies, contractors, and the public.
• Lead project team meetings, develop and maintain project budgets and schedules, monitor progress toward deliverable schedules and prepare progress reports, and assist with preparation of project invoices.
• Prepare and/or review construction plans, reports, technical specifications, estimates, and other contract documents for highway design projects.
• Assist in development of scopes of service for highway design projects. Review and supervise the work produced by staff for quality assurance.
• Assist with the marketing of the firm to establish new clients and enhance relationships, participate in the preparation of p roject proposals, presentations, and public meetings.

Qualifications

• Experience - A minimum of 8 years of state Department of Transportation (DOT) highway design experience required; Florida DOT experience highly preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years state DOT highway design project management experience required; Florida DOT experience highly preferred.
• Licenses & Certifications - Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Florida, or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
• Technical Skills & Knowledge - Proficiency in MicroStation, ORD, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar CAD software.
• Project & Client Management - Proven track record in managing design teams, client relationships, and preparing engineering proposals.
• Leadership - Excellent communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.
