STV Job Opening: Highway Engineer

STV currently has openings in our Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Douglassville, Harrisburg, PA, Newark, or Lawrenceville, NJ offices for a Highway Engineer to join our Transportation and Infrastructure Division.

The successful candidate will have significant experience in highway design, including highway geometrics, roadway modeling, cross-section development, traffic control, signing, pavement marking, utility coordination, and right-of-way plan development. Key responsibilities include designing and reviewing all phases of highway plan development for various transportation projects.

The Highway Engineer will assist or lead team members in collaborating with transportation agencies throughout PA and/or NJ.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• Pennsylvania Professional Engineer (PE) license
• 5-10 years of progressive experience as a highway engineer
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to determine scope of work and prepare estimates for highway engineering tasks
• Quality control oversight for highway engineering tasks
• Ability to mentor and coach junior engineers
• Experience with PennDOT and other transportation agencies
• Familiarity with AASHTO design standards
• Proficiency in MicroStation, InRoads, and Microsoft Office (Open Roads is a plus)
• Active participation in client service teams supporting proposal development and business growth activities

Compensation Range: $100,226.48 - $133,635.31
