Job summary

Prudent Engineering, LLP seeks a Construction Inspector to oversee highway and bridge construction projects, ensuring adherence to plans, specs, and standards. The role requires attention to detail and strong communication with contractors, project managers, and regulatory authorities.

Qualifications

• Prior inspection experience on highway or bridge projects.
• PennDOT/NECEPT asphalt and concrete certifications desired.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; relevant work experience may substitute.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive inspections of highway and bridge projects at various stages.
• Verify compliance with regulations, plans, and specifications.
• Document deviations and report findings with actionable recommendations.
• Coordinate with contractors, engineers and regulators to resolve issues.
• Monitor progress, workmanship, materials usage, and adherence to schedules.
• Oversee field tests/inspections of concrete, steel, asphalt and other materials.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and daily reports.
