Job summary

ABA Therapy Partners seeks a compassionate Behavior Technician to implement ABA therapy with children and individuals with developmental disabilities. The role focuses on data collection, progress reporting, and collaboration with BCBA for program integrity.

Ideal candidates will have experience with multiple age groups, CPI certification or equivalent, and willingness to obtain CPR/BLS and other required certifications. U.S. work eligibility is required.

Qualifications

  • Experience with multiple age groups.
  • Teaching experience with kids with special needs is preferred.
  • Certification as a Behavior Technician (BACB) or current RBT exam registration.
  • CPI Crisis Prevention Intervention or equivalent certification.
  • U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or eligible to work.
  • CPR and First Aid, OSHA, HIV, HIPAA certifications (or willingness to obtain).
  • One year experience with children with developmental/intellectual disabilities preferred.
  • Experience handling aggressive and self-injurious behaviors.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy.
  • Accept and implement feedback from BCBA for program integrity.
  • Teach socially acceptable replacement behaviors.
  • Provide 1:1 ABA therapy for children with Autism and related disorders.
  • Communicate client progress with supervising BCBA.
  • Collect behavior data as specified in client behavior support plan.
  • Implement behavior therapy techniques as instructed by supervisors.
  • Review data and progress reports to strategize program improvements.
  • Document interventions and progress toward goals accurately and timely.
  • Assist in creating instructional materials.
  • Manage multiple children when necessary.
  • Attend ongoing training sessions and related meetings.
  • Desire to work with children with autism and other developmental disabilities.

Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavior Technician (BT) to join our team. In this role, you will work directly with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, implementing behavior intervention plans and providing support to enhance their quality of life. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in behavioral health, patient care, and experience working with children. This position is essential in promoting positive behavior management and helping clients achieve their personal goals.

Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy
  • Accept and implement feedback provided by BCBA for program integrity
  • Teach socially acceptable replacement behaviors;
  • Provide 1:1 ABA therapy for children with Autism and related disorders
  • Communicate client progress with supervising BCBA
  • As applicable, provide transportation related to the implementation of activities as directed by the treatment plan
  • Collect behavior data as specified in client behavior support plan
  • Implement behavior therapy techniques as instructed by the Behavioral Services Manager and Behavior Specialist.
  • Review data and progress reports with Behavioral Services Manager and Behavior Specialist to strategize program improvements
  • Document interventions and progress towards goals accurately and in a timely manner
  • Assists in the creation of instructional materials
  • Openly flexible and responsible in working with multiple children at one time, when necessary
  • Attends a variety of in-service training sessions and other related meetings
  • Desire to work for / with children with autism and other developmental disabilities.
Requirements
  • Experience with multiple age group
  • Valid Teaching Experience with kids with special needs
  • Must have experience with aggressive and self-injurious behaviors
  • Must be a Certified Behavior Technician by BACB.com or have registered to take the RBT exam
  • Must be CPI Crisis Prevention Intervention or equivalent certified.
  • Must be a U. S. citizen, legal/permanent resident, or have a valid employment authorization
  • Must be certified in OSHA, HIV, HIPAA, CPR, and First Aid, or be willing to get them
  • HS diploma required
  • One year experience working with children with developmental/ intellectual disabilities preferred
  • Must be a team player
  • CPR/BLS certified (or willing to obtain prior to hiring)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working with children with Autism or related disorders preferred
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and high attention to detail
  • Desire to work for / with children with autism and other developmental disabilities
  • Clear Criminal Background.
