Job summary

Carnegie is seeking a Project Manager to lead architectural projects for higher education clients nationwide, guiding campus planning to construction with a strong focus on on‑time, on‑budget delivery. You will coordinate internal teams and external consultants while shaping the student experience through design in a collaborative small‑firm setting.

The role requires extensive knowledge of building systems, REVIT proficiency, and licensure as a U.S. Architect.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from a NAAB‑accredited program.
10+ years of experience on commercial projects in the United States; higher education experience required.
Registered U.S. Architect; NCARB certification required; LEED AP desired.
Travel within the United States is required approximately 30–50% of the time.
Proficiency in REVIT; BIM coordination with consultants and construction administration experience.

Responsibilities

Lead project leadership and client management for 3–4 clients, including at least one major project.
Prepare and manage project proposals and AIA contracts.
Develop preliminary construction and project budgets.
Assist campus planning in project management, budgets and cost estimates.
Coordinate with consultants and internal teams across design and construction phases.
QA/QC of projects and BIM standards adherence.
Mentor staff and foster collaborative studio culture in various work environments.
