Job summary

The Prep Daddy is hiring a Prep Cook for large batch meal production at The Prep Daddy Kitchen in Kearny Mesa. This on-site role offers hourly pay ranging from $20 to $25. Part-Time or Full-Time options with weekend availability and flexible scheduling based on production needs.

Responsibilities include preparing ingredients, following recipes, maintaining safety and cleanliness, labeling and FIFO storage, and assisting with inventory while supporting quick, high-quality meal production.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial kitchen or meal prep preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable standing for extended periods.
• Follow recipes precisely and maintain quality.
• Food safety and HACCP procedures knowledge a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare large quantities of proteins, vegetables, rice, potatoes, and other ingredients according to recipes and production schedules.
• Wash, cut, season, marinate, and portion ingredients for meal production.
• Assist with cooking, cooling, and packaging meals while maintaining consistency.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation; adhere to safety standards.
• Label, rotate, and store ingredients using FIFO procedures.
• Assist with inventory counts and notifying management when supplies are running low.
• Help with kitchen cleanup and equipment sanitation at end of production.
