Job summary

Pequod's Pizza in Chicago is seeking dedicated kitchen team members to join our high-volume back-of-house. You will help prepare appetizers, salads, pasta, sandwiches and pizzas, while keeping stations clean, stocked and sanitary.

Qualifications

• Experience in a high-volume kitchen or pizzeria preferred.
• Able to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining quality.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Evening/weekend/holiday availability; Food Handlers certification or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation tasks following recipes and standards.
• Operate kitchen equipment (ovens, mixers) safely and efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including washing utensils and sanitizing surfaces.
• Monitor food supplies and replenish stock during peak dining hours.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation protocols to maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
• Communicate with management to prioritize tasks and coordinate workflow.
• Assist with receiving deliveries, rotating stock, and maintaining inventory levels.
• Follow company policies, procedures and safety guidelines.
