Job summary

Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center in Georgia is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible General Neurosurgeon to join a premier, collaborative team. This high-volume practice draws from an 18-county referral base in Northeast Georgia, with immediate case volumes and infrastructure to build a practice from day one.

The position offers a dedicated neuro floor, advanced imaging and OR support, and a balanced call schedule designed to maximize patient care and physician wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible General Neurosurgeon.

Responsibilities

• High-volume practice with 400+ cases per surgeon annually.
• Diverse case mix including degenerative spine, deformity, peripheral nerve pathology, cranial/spinal oncology and trauma.
• Dedicated neuro floor with specialized nurses, physical therapists, and social workers.
• Block scheduling with guaranteed block time for incoming surgeon.
• Balanced call schedule: trauma call shared with an external group and Neurosurgical APP coverage.
