Metric Geo is seeking a Substation Engineer in Atlanta, Georgia, to support the design and delivery of high-voltage substation projects. The role involves developing safe and reliable substation designs for utility and industrial clients while supporting engineering projects from concept to construction.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering and over 3 years of relevant experience. Familiarity with industry standards and principles of substation design is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in substation engineering.
• Knowledgeable about IEEE, NESC, and substation design standards.

Responsibilities

• Support substation engineering projects from concept to completion.
• Develop substation design packages including layouts and specifications.
• Produce engineering calculations for various systems.
• Prepare design deliverables in line with industry standards.
• Assist with project coordination, including schedule support and client communication.
