Job summary

Quanta Consultancy Services Ltd in Ohio is recruiting a High Voltage Electrician to support a pharma plant expansion on a 3-year contract. You will work on specialist HV/MV plant infrastructure and participate in turnover from construction to operations with a focus on reliability and safety.

Ideal candidates have hands-on HV/MV experience, familiarity with switchgear, transformers and distribution equipment, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams on complex maintenance tasks.

Qualifications

• Professional hands-on experience as a High-Voltage or Medium-Voltage Electrician.
• Experience working on systems operating between 4,160V and 12,470V.
• Experience with maintenance, testing, troubleshooting or installation on industrial HV/MV systems.

Responsibilities

• Specialist role on 4.16kV–12.47kV plant infrastructure, not general electrical work.
• Inspecting and accepting newly installed switchgear, transformers and distribution equipment during turnover.
• Fault-finding, testing, preventive and condition-based maintenance including infrared inspections.
• Support reliability and safe operation of a pharmaceutical manufacturing site.
• Collaborate with engineering, construction and maintenance teams as a technical voice on turnover.

High Voltage Electrician - Ohio - 3-year contract

We’re supporting a major new-build facility in Ohio, a multi-billion-dollar investment designed to push the boundaries of science and engineering. We’re looking for a High Voltage Electrician to support this project and help deliver this world-class program.

What you’ll deliver:

• A specialist medium-/high-voltage position, working directly on 4.16kV–12.47kV critical plant infrastructure rather than general commercial electrical work.
• Opportunity to be involved in a major new-build environment: inspecting and accepting newly installed switchgear, transformers, breakers and distribution equipment as it transfers from construction into plant maintenance.
• Varied technical scope across fault-finding, testing, preventive and condition-based maintenance, including infrared inspections and safe energisation support.
• High-impact role supporting the reliability and safe operation of a world-leading pharmaceutical manufacturing site.
• Strong exposure to engineering, construction and maintenance teams, giving the individual a chance to be a technical voice in construction-to-operations turnover rather than solely completing routine maintenance tasks.

What you’ll need:

• Professional, hands-on experience as a High-Voltage or Medium-Voltage Electrician.
• Demonstrable experience working directly on systems and equipment operating between 4,160V and 12,470V.
• Practical experience performing maintenance, testing, troubleshooting or installation work on industrial medium- or high-voltage electrical systems.
