You will perform complex diagnostic tests, support safety initiatives, and ensure equipment is fit for service according to Energy Control processes. The role involves accepting tests on new or reconditioned equipment, developing test procedures, and preparing comprehensive reports for action.

Qualifications

• Graduate of two-year Electronic Engineering Technology or Electrical Engineering Technology degree program.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a thorough knowledge of the company’s Energy Control Process.
• Ability to obtain and maintain permit and switching authority.
• Must have a valid Pennsylvania motor vehicle operator’s license.
• Ability to obtain unescorted access clearance for Susquehanna SES.

Responsibilities

• Determine electrical condition of high voltage equipment and batteries by performing tests.
• Lead and direct work activities of personnel assisting in tests.
• Perform acceptance tests on new or reconditioned equipment.
• Devise unique, complex electrical tests for troubleshooting and safety-related equipment.
• Operate computer operated equipment using AI diagnostic techniques.
• Prepare and submit test reports with recommendations on suitability of equipment.
• Maintain a computer-based active file of test data reports with trending evaluation.
• Coordinate test schedules with other departments, customers and contractors.
• Follow the Energy Control Process and safety rules; obtain necessary permits and blocking.
