Job summary

Air Liquide is seeking a High Voltage Electrical Technician in Pasadena, TX to support maintenance of medium/high voltage motors and distribution equipment. You will lead PM activities, coordinate internal and contract technicians, and ensure safety and documentation through Maximo.

The role requires 5+ years in plant electrical maintenance, strong planning skills, and proficiency with MS Office. Extended hours and on-call shifts may be necessary as business needs dictate.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in plant electrical maintenance activities.
  • Experience with medium/high voltage distribution systems and motors.
  • Experience in troubleshooting plant electrical maintenance problems.
  • Working knowledge on the use of a CMMS, Maximo preferred.
  • Highly organized with the ability to handle multiple tasks & prioritize work.
  • Experience in proactive planning and scheduling of maintenance.
  • Skilled in use of Microsoft Office software.
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills.
  • Ability to work extended hours, be on call and shift work as business needs dictate.

Responsibilities

  • Support and comply with all Air Liquide safety, health, and environmental procedures and policies.
  • Provide technical assistance to field personnel in the areas of medium/high voltage motors and distribution equipment.
  • Manage preventive maintenance (PM) of electrical equipment during turnarounds.
  • Direct and oversee vendor shop repairs on high voltage equipment and motors to insure highest quality work and adherence to Air Liquide standards.
  • Ensure proper documentation of work within CMMS (Maximo).
  • Develop detailed scopes for electrical projects and maintenance activity.
  • Coordinate technicians, both AL and contract, to execute maintenance work.
  • Lead mentoring and training of facility operations and technical staff in understanding the operation and maintenance of electrical systems and controls.
  • Maintain 95% or greater compliance in PM program and 100% EIS PM compliance.
  • Dedicated to achieving and maintaining no past due Electrical PM's.
  • Ensure proper planning of work orders utilizing Maximo.
  • Actively promote improving PM details and Job Plans following proper procedure.
  • Insure PM and PdM programs are being executed and follow up work is performed and documented.
  • Assist in analysis and follow up on PdM data (thermography, relay and breaker testing, transformer oil/gas test, PD and PI of motors, etc.).
  • Actively lead and participate in Root Cause Analysis and Vulnerability Studies.
  • Develop and modify maintenance strategies based on RCA, VS and Risk Analysis findings.
  • Plan, manage, and execute major electrical maintenance activities and turnarounds.
  • Complete major maintenance activities on schedule and budget.
  • Participate in and understand the R&M budgeting process.
  • Participate in development of annual maintenance schedule, budget and turnaround plans.
  • Understand and promote the MRPL Maintenance Management Process.
  • Utilize the MRPL Maintenance Center & Corporate standards.
  • Provide feedback to improve the spare parts stocking at each plant.
  • Ensure spare parts are adequately stocked, stored and replenished as needed.
  • Work closely with contractors & monitor contractor work quality and cost.
  • Assist Maintenance Team in maintaining equipment manuals.
  • Make suggestions to improve plant safety, efficiency, reliability, and quality.
  • Committed to solving and completing all types of Action Items.
  • Lead by example and motivate others to excel and succeed.
  • Set and maintain high housekeeping standards.

High Voltage Electrical Technician (Open) – Pasadena, TX

R10099705 High Voltage Electrical Technician (Open) Location Pasadena, TX - Bay Area - Support functions - Gulf Coast MCBeaumont, TX - ASU Air Liquide Large Industries provides our customers with industrial gas and energy solutions that are vital to their own industrial production. We own and operate over 2,000 miles of industrial gas pipelines in the U.S. supplying mainly oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen and syngas in large quantities from multiple production sources to major customers in the chemicals, petrochemicals, refining and steel industries. Our pipeline operations and industrial gas production facilities are closely monitored 24/7 within our leading-edge operations control center located in Houston, Texas. Our operations control group monitors over 89,000 data points and assists with product supply and coordination. We are constantly optimizing our supply network to provide high reliability and energy efficiencies allowing Air Liquide to adjust supply needs more quickly and effectively enabling growth to our customers.

Required Qualifications

  • 5 + years experience in plant electrical maintenance activities
