Job summary

MAC Discount LLC in St. Peters, MO is seeking a High Value Scanner for full-time, on-site work. The role tests and inspects higher-value items (e.g., iPads, smart watches, cell phones) and uploads accurate product data to our auction portal using proprietary software.

The position reports to the Scan Team Lead and requires standing/walking for hours, Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm, with a 30-minute lunch. Attend the hiring event by bringing a printed resume and two forms of ID.

HIGH VALUE SCANNER (HVS)

JOB TYPE AND CLASSIFICATION: Full-Time Hourly Non-Exempt

JOB OVERVIEW:

MAC.BID buys truckloads of customer returns and overstock products, then sells these items individually to the public through online auctions. The HVS role tests and inspects items of higher value, such as iPads, smart watches, and cell phones, to assess their condition before uploading them for auction. This role uses proprietary software to scan and upload product information into the auction portal with accuracy. This position reports to the Scan Team Lead.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and test electronics


• Scan items into the system to create online auction listings


• Search products online
